Hawzah News Agency- Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, the IRGC’s spokesperson and deputy head of public relations, said the admissions of American officials and Western think tanks further confirm that Tel Aviv has failed to achieve its objectives.
Basij: Core Pillar of National Power
Highlighting the strategic role of the Basij force, General Naeini said the Basij represents a fundamental component of Iran’s national power. He noted that its founding philosophy was never intended to replace the armed forces but to build comprehensive strength across political, social, cultural, security, and defense sectors.
Referring to the origins of the Basij, he recalled Imam Khomeini’s decree in December 1979 to establish a 20-million-strong popular force. The order, issued months before the start of the imposed war, reflected Imam Khomeini’s farsighted and strategic understanding of emerging threats, he added.
Enemy Miscalculations and Iran’s Strength
General Naeini described the recent confrontation as an intense combined battle initiated by the enemy based on miscalculations and its failure to grasp the power and cohesion of the Iranian nation.
He stressed that the Zionist regime’s defeat is acknowledged even by its own political and military figures, as well as U.S. research institutes. “Operation al-Aqsa Storm demolished the regime’s security reputation,” he said, noting that only 13 percent of residents in the occupied territories now believe the regime has succeeded in its goals.
The IRGC spokesperson further stated that Iran’s armed forces are currently at their highest level of tactical readiness, technological capability, and operational creativity. The recent conflict, he added, served as a genuine test of strength in which the enemy’s vulnerabilities were fully exposed.
Warning of Swift and Stronger Response
General Naeini emphasized that the enemy has neither new objectives nor the capacity to repeat past mistakes. “If the enemy commits any new act of aggression or mischief,” he warned, “its response will be more serious and more decisive—without any doubt.”
